Recording Guidelines

If you want intelliScore to convert a piece of music to a MIDI file, it must first either exist as a wave, MP3, WMA, AAC, or AIFF file, on an audio CD, or you can record it directly into intelliScore.  Best results are obtained from audio CDs, wave files and AIFF files, since MP3, WMA, and AAC files are compressed and therefore do not contain all of the original audio information.  To record a wave file, click the Microphone button next to the Audio File Name text box in the Project Editor.  This will open the Record Audio File window.  When recording using a microphone, be sure your microphone is of sufficient quality to handle the full pitch range of the notes you are playing. To select a preexisting wave, MP3, WMA, AAC, or AIFF file, click the Folder button next to the Audio File Name text box.
