Continuous Controller, Dynamics Tab
User Level: Advanced
MIDI File Usage: Playback
Continuous controllers are used in MIDI to show gradual changes over time, such as volume, brightness, etc. IntelliScore uses continuous controllers to record changes in volume while a note is being held, such as tremolo. You can assign the volume changes to affect any of the controllers listed in the Continuous Controller combo box. The exact behavior of each controller is determined by your MIDI playback device. The default controller is Expression, which normally is used for volume changes over time. You can turn off this feature by selecting Disable from the list. When this feature is enabled, we recommend that you leave Track Note On Volume and Track Note Off Volume enabled. Due to the limitations of MIDI, the continuous controller feature is only on MIDI channels where Polyphony is set to 1 (monophonic).
